Hacking the Loop
Keep your robots updated, folks!
Here is my last project I'll work on as a student! It was really fun to explore some 90's nostalgia with this scene and sneak in some fun additions. This was my first time doing some minor hard surface modeling in Zbrush as well as using Marmoset Toolbag for scene creation. I have spent around 130~ hours on this project over the past four months or so and it was a real treat to dive back into a more prop oriented scene once more. I'm very happy with how this one turned out!
This is based on the amazing art from Simon Stalenhag (the art I referenced http://www.simonstalenhag.se/bilderbig/hackingtheloop_1920.jpg and his website http://www.simonstalenhag.se/ ) .
Assets were created in Maya or Zbrush and textured in Substance Painter or Substance Designer. The whole scene was assembled and lit all in Marmoset Toolbag 3.
Special thanks to my professor Joshua Terry(artstation.com/joshuaterrycg) for his guidance on this project.
